Work while studying
Student visa holders are generally allowed to work up to a capped number of hours per fortnight while their course is in session and unrestricted hours during scheduled breaks, subject to current conditions. The cap has been revised more than once, so we confirm the figure that applies when you travel.
Post-study opportunities
The Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485) allows eligible graduates of qualifying Australian qualifications to live and work temporarily after study. Eligibility depends on your qualification, age and the rules in force at the time of application.

What is the Genuine Student requirement?
It replaced the earlier Genuine Temporary Entrant test. You explain, in writing and with evidence, why this course in Australia makes sense given your background, your finances and your plans. It is the part of the file most students underestimate.
Is Australia cheaper than the UK?
