What is a Provincial Attestation Letter?
It is a letter issued by a province confirming your place counts within its allocation. Where it applies, an application without it will not be processed — checking this early is essential.
How much proof of funds is required?
IRCC sets a minimum living-cost amount separate from tuition, and it has been raised in recent cycles. We confirm the current threshold before you arrange statements, because using last year's figure is a real refusal risk.
Is a GIC mandatory?
A GIC is required under the Student Direct Stream style processing where you choose that route. It is not the only way to demonstrate funds, but it is often the cleanest.
Do all colleges lead to a PGWP?
No. The institution must be eligible and, for certain categories, the field of study must appear on the eligible list. This is the single most important thing to verify before you pay a deposit.
Can my spouse get an open work permit?
Spousal open work permit eligibility has narrowed and now depends on your level and field of study. We assess it case by case rather than promising it.
What is the most common reason for study permit refusal?
Weak or inconsistent financial evidence and a statement of purpose that does not credibly connect the programme to the applicant's background.
Can I switch from college to university later?
