How important is the visa interview?
It is decisive. The officer has a few minutes and is assessing whether your plan is genuine, your funding is real and your ties are credible. We rehearse it with you until your answers are natural rather than memorised.
Do I need SAT or GRE?
It depends on the university and programme. Many institutions have made standardised tests optional, but competitive programmes still weigh them. We confirm requirements per shortlist.
Can I work while studying?
On-campus employment within defined limits is generally permitted. Off-campus work needs authorisation through CPT or OPT — there are no informal shortcuts here.
What if my F-1 visa is refused?
A refusal under section 214(b) is not a permanent bar. You may reapply, but only a materially changed and better-documented case is worth submitting.
How much bank balance is needed?
Enough to cover the tuition and living costs shown on your I-20 for at least the first year, backed by a sponsor whose income genuinely explains the balance.
Are scholarships realistic for Pakistani students?
Yes, particularly assistantships at graduate level and merit awards at undergraduate level. They are competitive and they reward early, well-prepared applications.
Is a community college pathway credible?
It is a legitimate and cost-effective route — two years at a community college, then transfer to a four-year university. It suits budget-conscious students with strong academic discipline.
Can my spouse accompany me?
F-2 dependants may accompany you but are restricted in terms of employment. Study rights for dependants are limited under current rules.
